Originally from London and now living in Wiltshire, Joanna’s artistic journey began at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art where she earned a BA in Textile Design. After working across a range of industries, Joanna became a mother to two daughters. Motherhood reignited her desire to make, and she started painting six years ago.

Joanna creates large, figurative, dreamlike paintings that explore her relationship with her surroundings, her family, and her identity as a woman. Alongside these, her smaller mixed-media pieces act as a space for experimentation, helping ideas evolve and gather momentum before unfolding intuitively on the canvas.

Joanna has exhibited across the UK and Europe. She is currently developing a body of work for her debut solo exhibition in London this year.
