Born and raised in London, Joanna is based in the UK. Her artistic journey began at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art, where she earned a BA in Textile Design. After working in a range of creative industries, she returned to painting six years ago.

Joanna creates large, figurative, dreamlike paintings that explore her relationship with her surroundings, her family, and her identity as a woman. In the studio, she works on smaller mixed-media pieces to spark ideas and build momentum for her larger works, which gradually take shape on the canvas.

Joanna has exhibited across the UK and Europe, most recently showing with the Society of Women Artists at The Mall Galleries last year. She is currently developing a body of work for her debut solo exhibition in London this year.
